Gate is built to route your links without ever seeing them. This policy explains, plainly, what that means — and it's short, because Gate collects nothing.
The short version
Gate has no account, no servers, and no analytics. Your rules, your history, and every link you open stay on your Mac. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party. On the App Store, Gate is listed as “Data Not Collected.”
Data we collect
None. Gate does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There is no sign-up and no account, so we never even receive a name or email address through the app.
Where your data lives
Your rules, your routing history, and your preferences are stored locally on your Mac. They never leave your device. Uninstalling Gate removes them; we keep no copy because we never had one.
No tracking, no analytics
Gate contains no advertising or analytics SDKs and does no tracking across apps or websites. In Apple's terms, NSPrivacyTracking is false — Gate does not track you.
Links and tracking parameters
When Gate opens a link, it can strip tracking parameters such as utm_source, utm_medium, fbclid, gclid, and msclkid. This cleaning happens entirely on your Mac to protect your privacy. Gate does not log, store off-device, or transmit the links you open.
Purchases
Gate's one-time unlock is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and the receipt; Gate only receives confirmation from Apple that the purchase is valid. Apple's handling of that transaction is covered by Apple's own Privacy Policy.
This website
getgate.app is a static site with no cookies, no analytics, no ad trackers, and no third-party embeds. Fonts are self-hosted, so your visit isn't shared with a font provider. Our host may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses) purely to serve the site and guard against abuse.
Children
Gate is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. It does not collect data from anyone, children included.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, we'll update the date above and post the new version here. Because Gate collects no data, we don't anticipate material changes.
